Maple syrup is a syrup from the sap of maple trees. Maple tree sap has an average of 2% sugar, which is then boiled to a concentration of 66% sugar that makes maple syrup.

Maple syrup stores very well. It is shelf stable in a cool dry place for over a year and then once opened and refrigerated, will store for another year. Although this is shelf stable, maple syrup is not sterile.

It lasts for 5 minutes in my house! However for others, once opened and refrigerated it will last over a year.

Yes, our sugarhouse is open seasonally. We are open when the steam is "rolling" in the spring and we are open with set hours in the fall.

Sap is a fluid from a tree with nutrients, sugar, water, and other substances carried throughout the tree. It is the only ingredient for making pure maple syrup.

If harvesting correctly, extracting sap from the tree causes no harm to the trees. Maple trees can live well over 100 years even when tapping annually.

Grades of maple syrup primarily differ in color and flavor.
Golden Color, Delicate Taste: Lightest in color and mildest in maple flavor.
Amber Color, Rich Taste: A little darker than golden with a richer more pronounced maple flavor. Known for being best on pancakes.
Dark Color, Robust Taste: This is darker with a robust maple flavor. It is great for cooking and baking, but it is still excellent on pancakes and waffles.
Very Dark Color, Strong Taste: Darkest color and most intense maple flavor. Great for making candies, marinades, or baking.

“ The best Maple 🍁 Syrup “ The best maple syrup my lips have touched. I was able to try all the samples & it’s delicious 🤤. I bought the two in the , picture but I hope to get more next Friday at the market . The market is suppose to be from June until October, it’s called the Copley Farmers Markey . I love the cardomam syrup- it is delicious. Even better is the customer service. The first bottle they sent me was damaged in shipment. Wyckoff sent a new bottle ASAP with no questions asked. Awesome.....I plan to purchase syrup for Christmas presents.

We discovered this place on our way to Smugglers Notch. Stopped for a fall color photoshoot and Maple Syrup. Host was gracious to entertain us in closing time. Amazing customer service and free Sampler for testing their range of infused syrups. My personal pick was their popular Robust version. Tasting station was welcoming and clean. Beautiful location and one of the best in Vermont. You cannot miss this place on your road - well decorated with animal statues. Family run business. They have their own merchandise and also sell special maple products like candy, bars and sugar etc. with option for free shipping. Products are reasonably priced. Well worth of your investment of time and money here. Highly recommended.

We stopped by Wyckoff Family Maple on a whim when we saw their open house sign after our drive through Smugglers Notch and it was such an enjoyable experience! We loved the syrup and especially the infusions. You don’t see a lot of that traveling through Vermont! The cinnamon and the bourbon barrel maple is amazing! You can tell they are a family run business. They were so friendly and had fresh coffee and awesome maple bars! Highly recommend you stop by and check out this place! It is well worth your time.

My wife and I stayed in one of their smaller rooms discovered on Airbnb. The space was perfect as we didn't need much and only needed it to sleep and eat breakfast. We fall foliage photographers and planned on spending a lot of time on the road. The full kitchen and fridge were really helpful to make breakfast. The bedroom was comfortable. The heater works a little too well so we actually kept it off most of the time and had the windows open. The temps outside were around 50 degrees. The sun had set and was already very dark when we arrived. The owner was there to greet us and show us the camp fire he had started outside if we wanted to relax and enjoy it after we got settled. Our room was right across from their sugar house where they make the maple syrup. This was October so it wasn't in operation since the season is usually January through April. The owner was still kind enough to give us a tour inside and offer us some syrup to try. The log shaped maple leaf outside the sugar house is really cool and great for photographs. This place was really convenient for us being next to Smuggler's Notch and Stowe. It turned out to be the most scenic spots to capture the fall foliage. Highly recommend a stay here.

Love small, family owned shops and this is exactly that! Fun to taste all the different syrups. Loved the cinnamon and the hot pepper! Definitely a must visit place in the area!

On our tour around New England we planned to visit Wyckoff Family Maple for their open house. They had a food truck, maple syrup tastings, delicious pumpkin pie, cider donuts and sugar on snow. What we especially enjoyed is seeing the family atmosphere and how they interacted with us out of towners. Thanks for sharing some Vermont hospitality with our family.
